Yes, Smartliner liners are designed to be secured using retention mechanisms. When installing the liners, you should ensure they are properly positioned and locked into the vehicle's retention posts. The manufacturer also advises using any provided clips or fasteners to secure the liners in place so they do not shift while you are driving.

Replacement Retention Clips: If a retention clip or button on your liner ever breaks or goes missing, the company does not sell replacements. However, if you contact their customer service team with your order number, mailing address, and the part number from the underside of the liner, they will mail you replacement retentions free of charge under your warranty. Replacements are shipped via USPS and typically take 5–7 business days to arrive.
